We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

How can all things be worked together by God for good? The answer is at hand. It is because God's ultimate purpose is to make us like Christ. His goal is the complete restoration of the image of God in His child! So great a work demands all the resources which God finds throughout the universe, and He ransacks the possibilities of joys and sorrows in order to reproduce in us the character of Jesus.

The bad fruit of false evangelism: 1. Worldly people feeling assurance because they made a decision one time. 2. Real revival being lost amid our own manufactured and scheduled meetings that we euphemistically call “revivals” (as if we could determine where and when the wind of God’s Spirit will move). 3. Church memberships markedly larger than the number of those involved with the church. 4. Inaction in our own lives, as we ignore the evangelistic mandate – the call to share the good news.

INGREDIENTS

7 oz Semisweet chocolate
14 tb Butter or margarine
4 Eggs
3/4 c Sugar
1 c Flour
1/3 c Hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
1 ts Baking powder

INSTRUCTIONS

Makes about 10 servings
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Grease a springform pan with detachable
bottom that has a diameter of about 9 1/2 inches.
Melt cooking chocolate and butter in a thick-bottomed pot over low heat.
Beat eggs and sugar until light and airy. Carefully stir the somewhat
cooled chocolate mixture into egg mixture.
Blend flour, nuts, and baking powder together, and fold carefully into
batter. It's important to fold it in gently.
Pour batter into pan and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes. The cake
should not become firm. The "unbaked" batter tastes like a delicious
filling.
You may garnish cooled cake with a bit of grated chocolate and a ring of
whipped topping.

A Message from our Provider:

“Our hopelessness and our helplessness are no barrier to (God’s) work. Indeed our utter incapacity is often the prop He delights to use for His next act… We are facing one of the principles of Yahweh’s modus operandi. When His people are without strength, without resources, without hope, without human gimmicks – then He loves to stretch forth His hand from heaven. Once we see where God often begins we will understand how we may be encouraged. #Ralph Davis”
