We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

We all know there is a fine line between faith and foolishness. Prudence would dictate that in most circumstances the church should build what it knows it could afford and not build solely on potentially misplaced faith. I realize this statement may not sit well with some readers, but too often we all (not just churches in building programs) plan first and pray later; we ask God to bless our mess, which is pure presumption on our part. If the church is building God’s vision in His timing, then moving in faith is not misplaced. If the church is moving forward with any other vision or timing, then there is no valid basis for faith.

Heed the warning of the Savior of the world, “Unless you repent you too will perish” (Luke 13:3, 5). Acknowledge your rebellion against God, turn from your sins, and trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Only Jesus is qualified to save. Indeed, He is God the Son who became a human being so that He could suffer the penalty of hell for sinners. I, therefore, urge you to throw away any hope of meriting heaven. Instead, place all your confidence for salvation in Jesus’ death and resurrection.

1/2 c Honey
2 tb Shallots, minced
1 tb Paprika
1 tb Cornstarch
1/4 c White wine

INSTRUCTIONS

MARINADE
PORK CHOPS
HONEY-DIJON SAUCE
In a shallow dish, pie plate or plastic sealable bag, combine all the
marinade ingredients. Add the pork chops and marinate at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Remove the pork chops from the marinade
and reserve the marinade. Spray a nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking
spray and place it over medium heat. Add the marinated pork chops and brown
on all sides. Place the browned chops in a baking dish and pour in the
reserved marinade. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until the chops are cooked
thoroughly. Remove from the oven and glaze each pork chop with 1/2 cup of
the Honey-Dijon sauce. To make the sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine the
chicken stock, Dijon-style mustard, honey, shallots and paprika. Bring to a
boil, then reduce the heat and simmer 15 minutes. In a small bowl, dissolve
the cornstarch in the white wine. Add to the sauce to thicken, then simmer
another 5 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
