We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

I have never heard anyone say, “The really deep lessons of life have come through times of ease and comfort.” But I have heard strong saints say, “Every significant advance I have ever made in grasping the depths of God's love and growing deep with him, has come through suffering.” Samuel Rutherford said that when he was cast into the cellars of affliction, he remembered that the great King always kept his wine there. Charles Spurgeon said that those who dive in the sea of affliction bring up rare pearls.
John Piper

Look at Him - this amazing Jesus! He is helping Joseph make a yoke in that little carpenter’s shop at Nazareth. This is the One who, apart from His self-emptying, could far more easily make a solar system or a galaxy of systems. Look at Him again! Dressed like a slave, with towel and basin for His menial equipment, He is bathing the feet of some friends of His who, but for their quarrelsomeness, should have been washing His feet.… 'He humbled himself!' 'Don’t forget this,' cries Paul to these dear friends of his at Philippi. 'Don’t forget this when the slightest impulse arises to become self-assertive and self-seeking, and so to break the bond of your fellowship with one another'(Paul Rees).

INSTRUCTIONS

MARINADE
VEGETABLE SAUTE
CITRUS SAUCE
For the marinade, combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the
shrimp and marinate for about 3 hours. (Note the recipe states to marinate
at room temperature, but I would not leave it out for that amount of time.
The safest thing to do is to marinate in the refrigerator.)
When the marinating time is over, make the vegetable saute. In a saute pan
over medium heat, warm the oil. Add the vegetables and garlic; saute for 4
minutes, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper. Add the balsamic
vinegar and continue cooking for 1 minute more.
To make the citrus vinaigrette, combine all the ingredients in a mixing
bowl. Whisk to dissolve the honey.
Remove the shrimp from the marinade and grill or broil for 2 minutes on
each side.
Divide the sauteed vegetables among 6 salad plates, put 3 shrimp on top of
each, and pour on the citrus vinaigrette.
