Homemade Applesauce

INGREDIENTS

8 McIntosh or other cooking apples, (2 3/4-lb); peeled and cut into chunks
1 1/2 c Water
3/4 c Sugar
pn Cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon in lg. saucepan. Bring to boil;
reduce heat to med-low, cover and cook until water is absorbed, 20 to 25
mins. Cool 10 mins. Mash with potato masher or fork. Refrigerate up to 1
wk.  Makes 4 1/2 cups.
Per 1/4 cup:  65 cal, -0- g fat, -0- mg chol, -0- mg sod, 17 g carbo, -0- g
