INSTRUCTIONS
In a large saucepan, combine 6 cups apple cider, 1/2 cup light brown sugar,
1 (2-inch) piece stick cinnamon, 1 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon ginger.
Push 12 whole cloves into rinds of 2 oranges, sliced, and 2 lemons, sliced,
using 2 cloves per slice. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring only to
dissolve sugar. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes. Makes 6 cups.
NOTE: If apple cider is not available, apple juice (canned, bottled or
frozen, reconstituted) may be substituted. From Ladies' Home Journal
