We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

If we are obsessed with making our Christian worship comfortable and non offensive to those who hate Him, we are in danger of denying Him and His call to holy living. Are we justified in taking such a risk, only that we may not offend? Surely Christians are not to seek to offend, but Christ says those who follow Him will be offensive – it is unavoidable.
Bill Izard

Many of the pulpiteers of the past fifty years acted as though the first and last object of their calling was the salvation of souls, everything being made to bend to that aim. In consequence, the feeding of the sheep, the maintaining of a Scriptural discipline in the church, and the inculcation of practical piety, was crowded out; and only too often all sorts of worldly devices and fleshly methods were employed under the plea that the end justified the means; and thus the churches were filled with unregenerate members. In reality, such men defeated their own aim. The hard heart must be ploughed and harrowed before it can be receptive to the gospel seed. Doctrinal instruction must be given on the character of God, the requirements of his Law, the nature and heinousness of sin, if a foundation is to be laid for true evangelism. It is useless to preach Christ unto souls until they see and feel their desperate need of him.

Hi everyone! This recipe makes for a great one pot meal.
Brown sausages in skillet, pricking with fork to drain excess fat; remove
and drain on paper towels. Pour off all but 3 tbs fat; saute the peppers
for 2 minutes; remove and saute onion and garlic til soft and then push to
one side of skillet. Sprinkle the raw rice in pan and cook, stirring
constantly until the rice turns a golden brown. Add the water, chicken
broth, salt and seasonings; bring to a boil. Add the sausages, peppers and
the beans; return to boiling, seperating the beans with a fork. Lower the
heat, cover the pan and cook 20 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed and
the rice is tender. Sprinkle the cheese over and cover pan; allow to stand
5 minutes before serving. Serve with salad and garlic bread.
