We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The proper understanding of everything in life begins with God. No one will ever understand the necessity of conversion who does not know why God created us. He created us 'in His image' so that we would image forth his glory in the world. We were made to be prisms refracting the light of God's glory into all of life. Why God should want to give us a share in shining with His glory is a great mystery. Call it grace or mercy or love – it is an unspeakable wonder. Once we were not. Then we existed – for the glory of God!
John Piper

Can it be, that the chief object of existence is to sing, and play, and dress and dance? Do not these things, when we reflect upon them, look more like the pursuits of butterflies and grasshoppers, and canary birds – than of rational creatures? Is it not melancholy to see beings with never-dying souls, sinking to the amusements of children; and employing time as if it were given them for nothing but mirth; and using the world as if it were created by God only to be a sort of playground for its inhabitants?

The title of this note means "curry without tears"
you can of course make the curry with any meat, poultry, fish or vegetables
you wish. This is for a simple kaeng phet kai (chicken curry).
method: Heat the sauce. Add the bamboo shoots and cook for three or four
minutes, then add the chicken and lime leaves and cook until the chicken is
cooked through.
(If you choose to make this with beef instead you will need to cook the
meat for longer, so add it first, and cook until it just begins to be
tender, then add the bamboo).
See recipe "Red curry sauce".
