We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Do we who have the care of souls know what hell is? Have we seen the state of the damned? Are we aware how dreadful their case is? Do we know that most people go there unaware of their danger? And do we see that our hearers are not aware of their danger? If we knew all this, it would be morally impossible for us to avoid passionately telling them the dreadfulness of that misery and their great exposure to it. We would cry aloud to them!
Jonathan Edwards

While the spiritual heart is most important, most relationships start off based on physical attractiveness (see Song of Solomon). Therefore, I submit to you that we demonstrate love toward our spouse by reasonably maintaining our attractiveness. After all, according to Scripture our bodies belong not to ourselves, but to each other (1 Cor. 7:4). What we are seeing to avoid is the popular mentality that says, “Get the ring and let my attractiveness do its thing.” Moreover, if the relationships are working correctly, our death is the most painful thing our spouses and children will ever encounter. I’ve done my share of funerals. I’ve seen this up close and personal. So how can we say we love them by willfully speeding up the process toward a premature death simply due to physical neglect? Is it a loving act if our grandchildren live the majority of their lives without us because we chose an unhealthy lifestyle?

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Eggs 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 c Okra
1/4 c Onions
1 c Tomatoes
4 lg Eggs
1 ts Salt (I use a combination seasoned salt-it just seems to need more seasoning)
1/2 ts Black or red pepper-really this is good with a can of chopped chilies.

INSTRUCTIONS

My Aunt Helen was the younger Aunt-she was better educated and alittle more
"uptown" as the other Aunts would comment. She became a nurse and EVEYONE
was expected at her Capping-so we went. Now, this is one of favorite
secrets, we would propably call it a type of simple Souffle-THE Aunts said
(and Mother said it also) "Helen would not have known how to make this had
she not have gone out in the world and come back with more ideas) She died
in 1990-78yrs. She and my Mother died in the same Hospice room.
My husband likes lots of black pepper-you will just have to adjust to your
own taste. Saute okra and onion in oleo or oil for abt 1 min. Add tomatoes
(slightly beaten-I add abt 2 teaspoons milk to the eggs) salt and pepper.
Pour into well oiled pan (or sprayed) Bake at 350 for abt 20-30 mins.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese on top and return to oven til it melts a bit.
My Aunt Helen went on to be quite a more modern cook-using a lot that she
learned to inspire her sisters to branch out and try other forms and types
of cooking. She spent her life nursing others and died a very painful death
with breast cancer. Never had herself checked, so get your checkup-it is
not a pretty way to die. Tootie Best of the Southwest cooking -or we are
who we came from.
