We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

God has not given us one set of leadership principles for marriage relationships, another set for biological family relationships, and yet another for relationships in the larger (church) family. Though each sphere of influence broadens in terms of function and responsibility, the basic leadership principles are the same. A husband is to be a servant-leader to his wife, a father is to be a servant-leader in his family, and elders/overseers are to be servant-leaders in the family of God.
Gene Getz

Most people hope to go to heaven when they die. This is not surprising, given the generally acknowledged alternatives (either hell or nothingness). However, it is quite revealing to ask people what they hope to do when they get to heaven. Most people anticipate the joys of this world writ large: golf courses with no sand traps or water hazards, heavenly mansions with no worries about mortgage payments. If they could have all of those things without leaving this planet, they would be more than content. Christians, however, long for heaven because they long to be in the nearer presence of the God whom they love with all their hearts, joining in the unstinted, eternal worship of the Lamb.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD

INGREDIENTS

6 md Potatoes
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 Egg yolk
1/2 All-purpose flour

INSTRUCTIONS

Servings: 1 These are *not* fluffy dumplings as in chicken and dumplings.
They are a "sturdy" potato dumpling served as a side dish to meat, and
usually with a sweet sauerkraut/carraway/honey dish as the vegetable.
*                       *                       *  Boil peeled potatoes in
small quantity of water. Drain potatoes thoroughly. Rice potatoes through
hand held masher/ricer. Let potatoes cool. On floured board, gradually
add flour working mixture into dough with hands. Shape potato mixture into
a long roll and cut into 10 slices. Drop dumplings into boiling water and
boil gently about 5 minutes.
Drain dumplings on paper towel. The dumplings are fully cooked after the
boiling process, but traditionally, Czechoslovakians then melt butter in a
heavy frying pan, and fry the dumplings until they are lightly browned on
all sides.
