In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NIV) we read: “Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders [nor others]…will inherit the kingdom of God.” The Greek word translated as “homosexual offenders” is arsenokoites, taken from two Greek words: arsen “male” and coitus, “copulation.” The term means exactly and precisely “male intercourse.” It says nothing about attitude or lust at all. Christ made Himself of no reputation precisely by taking on a human nature. He emptied Himself not by pouring out portions of His deity but by adding to Himself full and true humanity. His was an emptying by addition, not by subtraction. If He actually surrendered or gave up His divine attributes, then it might suggest that He ceased to be God-but that would result in something at odds with how the Bible identifies Him as being fully and truly God (see “Deity”). Yet even in taking on human nature, the Son of God fully possessed His divine nature, attributes, and prerogatives.

Praline Sauce for Ice Cream

INGREDIENTS

1	lb	Lt brown sugar
1	pt	White Karo
1/2	c	Butter
1	tb	Vanilla
1	c	Heavy cream

INSTRUCTIONS

Praline Sauce for Ice Cream
Pecans
Melt sugar, Karo, and butter on low fire until smooth. Cool.
Add vanilla and heavy cream.  Stir in really well. Serve over ice cream
with pecans on top of sauce.
Makes 1 qt.
Keeps 1 yr in refrigerator.
