We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

He is the King of kings, the radiance of His glory, the Lord of the spaceless, fabulous, infinite universe, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, unspeakable holy, dwelling in light, unapproachable, changeless ... and yet He condescended to be enclosed in lowly human flesh, to be born a despised Judean, in a filthy stable, in the womb of a simple Israeli woman and without fanfare or pomp.

C.S. Lewis indicated that if he wanted something easy and pain-free, he would have chosen a bottle of wine over Jesus. There is no question that biblical love leaves us more vulnerable. But this will not be the devastating vulnerability that comes with psychologically needing people. Christians need less and love more.

INGREDIENTS

1 Chicken; cut into eights
2/3 c Yellow corn meal
1/2 c Flour
Garlic powder and white pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and set aside. Clean the
chicken and wash. Roll the wet chicken in the dry mixture and place on a
"pammed" baking sheet. Bake at 350 until brown and crispy.
The seasoning can be adjusted to taste, but cooking diminishes many spices,
so we use a lot. When our daughter asked why her chicken did not taste like
mine, I suggested that when she mixes the dry ingredients that she taste
it. If it tastes alright, then add more garlic and pepper.
