We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Legalism...is essentially any attempt to improve on what God has done for us by adding things that we do for Him... It is any attempt to earn approval from God with our imperfect actions, rather than accepting and being pleased with the approval that He freely offers us because Jesus has earned it for us with his perfect sacrifice. Legalism is always doomed to failure because we are imperfect and the God that we seek to impress is perfect. It robs us of peace and joy.

Why is holiness important? 1. The voice of God in Scripture plainly commands it. 2. This is one grand end and purpose for which Christ came into the world. 3. This is the only sound evidence that we have a saving faith in our Lord. 4. This is the only proof that we love the Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. 5. This is the only sound evidence that we are true children of God. 6. This is the most likely way to do good to others. 7. Our present comfort depends much upon it. 8. Without holiness on earth we shall never be prepared to enjoy.

INGREDIENTS

3 tb Hot water
3 tb Hot milk
1 1/4 ts Active dry yeast
1 pn Sugar
1 tb Olive oil
1/4 ts Salt
1 tb Rye flour
2 tb Whole wheat flour
5/8 c Unbleached white flour

INSTRUCTIONS

This is a great recipe for pizza dough from The Greens cookbook by Deborah
Madison. Combine water and milk and add sugar and yeast. Stir until yeast
is dissolved and then mix in the olive oil, salt, rye flour, and whole
wheat flour. Stir in flour to make soft dough, but only enough to keep
dough from sticking. Dough should be slightly moist. Knead on a floured
surface for 5 minutes and allow to rise in a covered oiled bowl for 30 - 45
minutes. Its a good idea to flip the dough over in the oiled bowl once or
twice when you firs put it in so the surfce is coated with oil. Roll dough
up into a ball and roll out. Stretch it to shape and roll out more to 1/8
in. thick. Add toppings and preheat oven to 500 Degrees. Bake for 8 - 10
Minutes or until dough is nicely browned. - This is supposed to make a 10
in. pizza...I usually double the recipe and make a bigger pizza. Dustin
