We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The spiritual beauty of the Father and the Savior seemed to engross my whole mind; and it was the instinctive feeling of my heart, “Thou art; and there is none beside Thee.” I never felt such an entire emptiness of self-love or any regard to any private, selfish interest of my own. It seemed to me that I had entirely done with myself. I felt that the opinions of the world concerning me were nothing, and that I had no more to do with any outward interest of my own than with that of a person whom I never saw. The glory of God seemed to be all, and in all, and to swallow up every wish and desire of my heart.
Sarah Edwards

To Christians heaven is a house, a dwelling-place, a resting place, their everlasting home, their Father’s house where there are many mansions. It is a house in the heavens that as far excels the palaces of this earth as the heavens are high above the earth. It is a city whose builder and maker is God, and it is eternal in the heavens. The most marvelous thing about it is that God has prepared it for those who love Him.

Comment by Judy Karpen, karpen@nrlfs1.nrl.navy.mil:
Good stuff!
Just a variant note -- shredded carrot can be used in addition to, or even
in place of, the cabbage; also, raspberry vinegar (tres yuppie, i know) can
replace the cider vinegar + honey. If it's still not sweet enough for your
taste you can add some fruit juice; peach works well. Oh, you can leave out
the oil too, esp if you add the fruit juice (dont want too much liquid in
there).
