We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Basic principles in confronting and rebuking in love: 1. Guard your attitude against pride, vindictiveness and impatience, but especially against anger. 2. Resist making quick accusations – you may not have all the facts straight and you may be wrong. 3. Think of all the words you will use. Furthermore choose the right place and time. 4. Use patience and Scripture. 5. Be gentle with people which means to be kind, tender, gracious and calm – not harsh or combative. 6. Balance reproof and encouragement and hope. 7. Pray for wisdom, courage and self-control. Also pray that the Lord would prepare the other person or persons to receive your reproof.
Alexander Strauch

The sure test of the quality of any supposed change of heart will be found in its permanent effects. Whatever, therefore, may have been our inward experience, whatever joy or sorrow we may have felt, unless we bring forth fruits meet for repentance, our experience will profit us nothing. Repentance is incomplete unless it leads to confession and restitution in cases of injury; unless it causes us to forsake not merely outward sins, which others notice, but those which lie concealed in the heart; unless it makes us choose the service of God and live not for ourselves but for Him. There is no duty, which is either more obvious in itself, or more frequently asserted in the Word of God, than that of repentance.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 c Onion; chopped
2 Cloves garlic; minced
1/2 c Vegetable stock
1 1/2 c Mushrooms; sliced
2 Egg whites
1/4 ts Celery seed
1/8 ts Pepper
1/2 c Bread crumbs
1 Bag spinach
1/2 lb Cauliflower
1/2 lb Carrots

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook onions and garlic in stock until tender. Add mushrooms and cook 2-3
more minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Cool. Place in
blender with spices and egg stuff and blend.
Wash the spinach, and cook for 2-3 minutes in the pan that cooked the
onions. Steam the cauliflower and carrots; mash them seperately.
Combine spinach, 1/3 mushroom mixture, 1/3 breadcrumbs. Repeat with
cauliflower and carrots, keeping them seperate. (I also add some salt here;
the cauliflower and carrots seem to need it.)
Put the 3 mixtures in the loaf pan(s) in whatever order you want to see the
colored layers. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, until it's firm. Serve hot
or cold.
Yield: 2 little loaves (individual loaf pans, I think they're 3x5?). Double
the recipe to make one regular loaf, and bake it for closer to an hour.
