God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The more immediate and personal one’s knowledge of Christ, the more natural it is to share Him with others. This is why those who have newly met Christ are often so verbal and successful in leading others to Him despite the absence of learned arguments… The key to ongoing effectiveness is a perpetual freshness in your growing knowledge of Him.

How do you know whether a man is a Christian? The answer is that his mouth is “shut”. I like this forthrightness of the Gospel. People need to have their mouths shut, “stopped”. They are forever talking about God, and criticizing God, and pontificating about what God should or should not do, and asking, “Why does God allow this and that?” You do not begin to be a Christian until your mouth is shut, is stopped, and you are speechless and have nothing to say.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Cuban 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Yucca
1 ts Salt
1 1/2 c Hot water
2 ts Lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS

This comes from a cookbook called All About Cuban Cooking.
Peel and cut yucca in big pieces. Place water in a big pot and bring to a
boil with the salt and lemon juice. Add yucca and cook for about 45
minutes. Add cold water once in awhile, about a fourth cup at a time. This
causes the yucca to split and become tender. Yucca can also be fried. Drain
and serve with mojo.
