Peach Cobbler

INGREDIENTS

2 c Peaches
3/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Flour
1 pn Salt
2 ts Baking powder
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Milk, nonfat
1/4 ts Vanilla extract
1 Stick butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Peel and slice 2 cups peaches and mix with 3/4 cup sugar.  Let stand at
least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350.
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.  Mix with 1 cup sugar.  Stir
in milk and vanilla extract.
Melt butter in a DEEP baking dish and pour batter over it.  DO NOT STIR!!!.
Pour peaches on top of batter to form a layer.
Bake 50-55 minutes.
If using a glass baking dish -- bake at 325.
