We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

One of the most amazing and significant facts of history is that within 5 centuries of its birth, Christianity won the professed allegiance of the overwhelming majority of the Roman Empire and even the support of the Roman state. Beginning as a seemingly obscure sect of Judaism, one of the scores, even hundreds of religions and religious groups which were competing within the realm, revering as its central figure one who had been put to death by the machinery of Rome.

What do you do with the person who says, “I’ve asked God to forgive me about this, but I still feel guilty”? I hear that statement over and over again. I usually say to these people, “If you still feel guilty, then pray to God again. But this time don’t ask Him to forgive you for the sin that is haunting you. Rather, ask Him to forgive you for insulting His integrity by refusing to accept His forgiveness. Who are you to refuse to forgive yourself when God has forgiven you? When God promises to forgive His people when they repent, He is not playing games. If He says He will forgive you, then He will forgive you. And if God forgives you, you are forgiven.”

INSTRUCTIONS

I tried this recipe last night and it was terrific and easy. I noted the
changes that I made to the recipe at the bottom.
cut beef into 3 inch x 1 inch strips; brown in oil in a skillet. Transfer
to a slow cooker. Combine the next seven ingredients; pour over beef. Cover
and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until meat is tender. Add tomatoes and
green peppers; cook on low for 1 hour longer. Combine the cold water and
cornstarch to make a paste; stir into liquid in slow cooker and cook on
high until thickened. Serve over noodles or rice. Yeild
: 6-8 servings
note : I had 4 1/2 lbs of round steak to use up, so I used all of it and
doubled the recipe. I did not double the amount of green peppers, two was
enough. For the tomatoes I used what I had on hand ( two 12oz cans of
prepared diced italian spiced tomatoes) The meat was soo tender and juicy
that even my picky 11 year old son had seconds.

A Message from our Provider:

“If thankfulness does not move us to serve God, then we do not truly understand who our God is and what He has done in our behalf. Without gratitude for Christ’s sacrificial love, our duty will become nothing more than drudgery and our God nothing more than a dissatisfied boss. #Bryan Chapell”
