INSTRUCTIONS

Put apples with 5 Tbs. sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon,, place in bowl -
set aside. Beat all ingredients until smooth in large bowl. Place
walnuts on bottom of pan. Place 1/2 batter, 1/2 apples, 1/2 batter,
1/2 apples, the batter will be very thick. This cake can be frozen.
It is a very rich cake so cut the cake in small slices. Oven
temperature - 350 degrees - 1 1/2 hours - tube pan.
(Sometimes I use apple pie filling instead of the fresh apples. I also
sometimes decrease the amount of sugar.)
