We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

I was born into a believing family through no merit of my own at all. I was given a mind to think and a heart to feel through no merit of my own at all. I was brought into the hearing of the gospel through no merit of my own at all. My rebellion was subdued, my hardness removed, my blindness overcome, and my deadness awakened through no merit of my own at all. Thus I became a believer in Christ through no merit of my own at all. And so I am an heir of God with Christ through no merit of my own at all. Now when I put forward effort to please the Lord who bought me, this is to me no merit at all, because... it is not I, but the grace of God that is with me. (1 Cor. 15:10)... God is working in me that which is pleasing in His sight. (Heb. 13:21)... He fulfills every resolve for good by His power. (2 Thes. 1:11) And therefore there is no ground for boasting in myself, but only in God’s mighty grace. Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord. (1 Cor. 1:31)
John Piper

This is how I see all the commands to evangelize. I don’t view them as something I just need to turn on in certain situations. I see them in the context of a robust relationship with God. It’s getting to a point where God is so special and adored in our lives that speaking to others about Him, either fellowshiping with believers or evangelizing unbelievers, is simply from the overflow of our hearts.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
1 servings

INGREDIENTS

6 Thin; low-fat wholewheat pita rounds, (the pocket kind) nonstick spray
Mrs Dash or other brand salt-free lemon pepper seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS

Split pitas horizontally into large disks. Spray each cut side (what
was the inside) with nonstick spray. Sprinkle with seasoning. Cut
each round into six wedges. Spread wedges in single layer on baking
sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or till crisp. Serve
as dippers for Sweet Red Pepper Spread or other dip. Can keep in
airtight container for a few days--but they tend to disappear so this
is a moot point.
