We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The stipulations of the ceremonial law are only a shadow of what was to come in Christ (Col. 2:17; cf. Heb. 10:1). The law…is in every respect a pointer to and a prophecy of the new order of life, which only Christ can inaugurate. The law declares only one day out of seven to be holy unto the Lord, the Spirit sanctifies all seven of them. The law sets apart one tribe out of the twelve to be priests, the Spirit declares that the whole congregation has to fulfill the priestly office (1 Pet. 2:9). The law demands a tenth part of His people’s possessions, the Spirit translates us to become God’s possession with all that we have. Everything belongs to Him. We are but stewards who will have to give account of all we possess.
Pieter Verhoef

Imagine a father who claims to love his children but takes no action to stop them from becoming drug addicts or prostitutes. Or imagine seeing a brother in Christ walking alone heading straight toward quicksand, but you say nothing and walk away in silence. This isn’t genuine love; it’s apathy. It is not loving one’s neighbor as oneself; it is not loving as Jesus loved. Yet this is what we are like when we refuse to correct a wayward believer, to reprove sinful behavior, or to warn others of false teachers.

1/3 c Honey
2/3 c Soy superior
2/3 c Ginger vinegar
2 c Peanut oil or vegetable oil
3 tb Sesame oil
1/2 c Chili oil

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR THE VINAIGRETTE
Combine first seven vinaigrette ingredients in a blender. Cover and
puree for 1 1/2 full minutes. While blender is still running, slowly
drizzle in the three oils until the vinaigrette is thick and
emulsified completely. Check the seasoning and adjust as desired with
salt and pepper. NOTE: The entire batch may not fit in a conventional
home blender, so you may need to separate it into two parts.
To Make the Salad
Combine all cold lettuce and chicken in a large bowl. Add the
vinaigrette in two ounce portions, tossing the salad in between
additions until well coated, but not over-dressed. Serve out to 4
chilled plates and garnish with fried wonton.
Fried wonton strips - purchase wonton skins at an Asian market. Heat
peanut oil to 350 degrees and cut the skins to 1/4 in thick. Sprinkle
the strips (to separate) into the hot oil and fry until crisp and
golden in color. Remove to drain onto clean towel and sprinkle
lightly with salt. Cool.
