INGREDIENTS

4 Squares Unsweetened chocolate -; (1 oz)
1/2 c Butter or margarine – (1 stick); softened
4 c Sifted powdered sugar; sift then measure
1/2 ts Salt
2 ts Vanilla
1/4 c Milk

INSTRUCTIONS

Melt chocolate over hot water or in the microwave oven. Set aside
until cool. Combine butter, sugar, salt, vanilla and milk. With a
mixing spoon or on low speed of an electric mixer, beat until smooth.
Add melted chocolate; beat until thick enough to spread. If
necessary, add more milk for proper spreading consistency. Use as
directed in Viennese Continentals (see recipe).
