We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Here is how it happens. When the Spirit of God works savingly through the Word of God in a person’s life, God regenerates the heart (i.e., He gives him new birth), making him a new creation. As a new creation this newborn Christian recognizes his sin and turns to God for forgiveness. God enables Him to believe the Word. This is always the case (John 6:37). This belief is what God uses to bind or unite someone to Christ. It is through this union that we then experience the benefits of Christ’s work. We are considered righteous because we are now able to inherit Christ’s righteousness. It is imputed to us or considered effective in our life. We are not just innocent, but positively righteous. Moreover, since Christ is life (John 14:6), once we are united to Christ, we inherit abundant, eternal life from Him (John 6:39-40).

The doctrine of Lordship Salvation views saving faith neither as passive nor fruitless. The faith that is the product of regeneration, the faith that embraces the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the cross energizes a life of love and obedience and worship. The controversy is not a dispute about whether salvation is by faith only or by faith plus works. All agree that we are saved by grace through faith, apart from works (Eph. 2:8-10). But the controversy is about the nature of the faith that saves. According to Lordship Salvation, Sola fides iustificat (faith alone justifies), sed non fides quae est sola (but not the faith which is alone).

2 tb Salt
1/4 c Sugar
2 tb Cumin; ground
2 tb Pepper; black, fresh ground
2 tb Chili powder
4 tb Paprika
2 /down pork ribs**; ¥
1 3/4 c Vinegar; white
2 tb Hot pepper sauce
2 tb Sugar
1 tb Salt
1 tb Pepper; black, fresh ground

INSTRUCTIONS

BASTING SAUCE
The term "3/down" refers to the weight of the ribs. In this case, it is
three pounds or less for each slab of 10 to 12 ribs.
Combine salt, sugar, cumin, pepper, chili powder and paprika to make
barbeque rub. Rub ribs thoroughly with this mixture. Place ribs on baking
sheets and cook in 180 degree oven for 3 hours. Do not turn; solow cooking
infuses spices.
Remove from oven. (ribs may now be covered and refrigerated up to 2 days
before grilling) Use very low charcoal fire with rack set as high as
possible. Grill ribs 5 minutes to 30 minutes per side, depending on heat
and temperature of ribs. Ribs should have light outer crust and be heated
throughout.
If you prefer juicy ribs, coat with basting sauce just before removing from
grill. Otherwise serve dry with sauce on side. Remove ribs from grill, cut
in between bones and serve.
Note: Recipe is easily halved or doubled. Keep 2:1 proportion of sauce to
rub.
