We Love God!

We should not allow people to see the church as a weekly service they attend to make God happy. The gathering of the church is preparation for heavenly battle. We “huddle together” for a few minutes each week to worship God together and build each other up so that each of us can more effectively run the “missional play” throughout the week.

God really loves us and wants us to turn away from our sins. If He passed final judgment now, we would have no such opportunity; that would be the end of time for us. He has sufficient provocation to do so; that we recognize. We have sinned enough to deserve His infinite wrath at any moment, but we do not receive it. We have an opportunity, therefore, to turn away from our sin and to turn to God. Instead of continuing to offend Him, we can plead for forgiveness and seek to please Him. While there is yet life, that is possible.

Linguini with Wilted Rocket Leaves, Pine Nuts And Shaved Par

INGREDIENTS

500 g Dried linguini or 750g. fresh linguini
4 Cloves garlic; slivered
4 tb Olive oil
150 g Rocket leaves; washed and trimmed
1 c Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c Pine nuts; toasted
Additional freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Chopped fresh parsley

INSTRUCTIONS

Bring a Morganware Pasta Pot* of water to the boil and add salt.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil until almost smoking then add the garlic and
remove the oil from the heat and allow the garlic and oil to steep.
Add the linguini to the salted water and boil until the pasta is just
tender but still firm to bite. Drain immediately.
Toss the hot garlic oil, rocket leaves and salt and pepper to taste into
the hot pasta then add the shaved parmesan cheese and pine nuts.
Serve immediately with lots of chopped fresh parsley.
