We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Before you marry make sure the Lord has guided you into that decision. Is it only an emotional choice or one out of desperation? Is it one that brings peace to both of your hearts because you know that the relationship is of the Lord? This is all the difference between having a happy marriage and making the worst mistake of your life. Look for red flags! Is the person truly and genuinely committed to Jesus Christ? Is the man working a job? Is the person without addictions? Is there harmony between the two of you? Is there a mutual commitment toward moral and spiritual purity? Is there the ability to discuss all subjects without hostility? Is the relationship not based on fear, control or disrespect? Is this a person you would consider spending the rest of your life with? Another good question is to ask is if the individual would be a good husband and father or wife and mother. Bathe the matter in prayer!

How do you measure the value of something you hold dear? How do you assess the worth of a prize? Is it not by the depth of delight it induces in your heart? Is it not by the intensity and quality of your joy in what it is? Is it not by how excited and enthralled and thrilled you are in the manifold display of its attributes, characteristics, and properties? Is it not by the extent of the sacrifice you are willing to make to gain it, to guard it, and to keep it? In other words, your satisfaction in what the treasure is and does for you is the standard or gauge by which its glory (worth and value) is revealed. The treasure, which is God, is most glorified in and by you when your pleasure in Him is maximal and optimal.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Eggs, Grains, Dairy, Vegetables 30 servings

INGREDIENTS

2 Frozen pandan leaves
1 c Water
1 c Rice flour
2 c All-purpose flour
2 ts Coarse salt
5 Egg whites
1 1/2 c Canned unsweetened coconut milk
1 md Red or green leaf lettuce head
Vegetable Filling; (see recipe)
Peanut Sauce; (see recipe)

INSTRUCTIONS

Defrost and cut pandan leaves into 1-inch pieces. In a blender, combine the
pandan leaf and water. Blend for about 1 minute and strain through very
fine strainer. Reserve the green liquid.
Whisk the dry ingredients together in a bowl, and make a well in the
center. In a medium bowl, combine the liquid ingredients. Slowly pour the
liquid into the well and thoroughly combine. Strain through a very fine
strainer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. The consistency should be that
of heavy cream. If necessary, add water to loosen.
Heat an 8-inch nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Meanwhile, remove the
batter from the refrigerator and whisk to remove any lumps, or add water to
thin if necessary. Add about 1 1/2 ounces batter to skillet. Rotate the pan
so that batter covers entire surface. When the lumpia appears dry, turn it
with the aid of a rubber spatula, being careful not to let it brown. Remove
from pan and set aside.
Place pandan crepe on a plate with flat side facing up. Arrange 2
overlapping lettuce leaves so that they extend over the edge on one side.
Place 1/4 cup warm Vegetable Filling on the lettuce, and roll. Place lumpia
seam-side-down on plate. Drizzle with Peanut Sauce. Serve immediately.
Makes about 30 crepes.
