We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Though true grace has various degrees, and there are some that are but babes in Christ, in whom the exercise of the inclination and will, towards divine and heavenly things, is comparatively weak; yet everyone that has the power of godliness in his heart, has his inclinations and heart exercised towards God and divine things, with such strength and vigor that these holy exercises do prevail in him above all carnal or natural affections, and are effectual to overcome them: for every true disciple of Christ "loves Him above father or mother, wife and children, brethren and sisters, houses and lands: yea, than his own life."
Jonathan Edwards

Perspicuity [does] not mean that every verse of the Bible is equally clear or that the meaning of any text just falls off the page into the lap of the reader. Perspicuity…refers to the overall message of Scripture, not to any individual verse. The basic meaning of salvation in Christ was clear to all who had eyes to see or ears to hear, but the details and the finer points might only be available to those who have the necessary learning and skills to divide the Word of God.

COMMENTS: A fresh plum cake warm from the oven, a pot of freshly brewed hot
coffee...these are the makings of a great low-fat breakfast. The base for
the cake is a biscuit dough with yeast added for lightness. Nonfat milk is
stirred into the flour mixture along with some butter for flavor and
tenderness.
