INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the oil in a small saucepan. Add the onion and cook for 2 minutes.
Combine the sauce mix and water. Add to the onion. Bring to the boil,
stirring constantly, then simmer for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Split the sausages lengthwise leaving the 2 halves joined together at the
base.
Spread the cut surfaces with the tomato sauce mixture.
Add the chopped bacon and green or red pepper, then sprinkle with the
grated cheese.
Cook under a preheated grill for 5-6 minutes or until the sausages are
piping hot and the cheese is golden brown.
