We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

In distinct contrast to the widespread conservative fallacy of the eighties, the sharpest challenge of modernity is not secularism, but secularization. Secularism is a philosophy; secularization is a process. Whereas the philosophy is obviously hostile and touches only a few, the process is largely invisible and touches many. Being openly hostile, secularism rarely deceives Christians. Being much more subtle, secularization often deceives Christians before they are aware of it, including those in the church-growth movement. How else can one explain the comment of a Japanese businessman to a visiting Australian? “Whenever I meet a Buddhist leader, I meet a holy man. Whenever I meet a Christian leader, I meet a manager.”

Whirled from off our feet by a revival, carried aloft by popularity, exalted by success in soul-winning, we should be as the chaff which the wind driveth away, were it not that the gracious discipline of mercy breaks the ships of our vainglory with a strong east wind, and casts us shipwrecked, naked and forlorn, upon the Rock of Ages.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Microwave, Cakes, Mixes, Desserts 2 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 MW store bought cake mix

INSTRUCTIONS

If you don't want to take the time to make your own mix, you can use the
microwave cake mixes. Select the refill types since you do not need the
pan. Many of the mixes today do not require any added egg so are readily
prepared with just the addition of water.
Starting with a regular-sized microwave mix, rather than a single-size
variety, will cut your costs by about half. DIRECTIONS: Measure 1/2 cup mix
from favorite microwave cake mix into 10 oz. baking dish or dessert dish.
Stir in 3 Tablespoons water with fork until smooth. MICROWAVE (HIGH),
uncovered, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until now longer doughy, rotating dish
once. If mix comes with frosting, use about 1/4 of the frosting for each
cake. YIELD: About 2 Servings. Source: MW Times. Nutrition info: Use
information on mix package. NOTE: If mix calls for egg, add 1 Tablespoon
egg with water. Entire package of mix can be prepared as directed and then
divided among 4 baking dishes. Cover and freeze the extra batter in the
dishes. Then, just uncover and microwave 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 minutes to cook
the frozen batter.
