We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

True saints do what they do because they are drawn by love. True Christians find that the love of God in Christ is so attractive, so beautiful, that they cannot help wanting to serve Him. There is a splendor, a beauty, about God and His ways that lures humans beings to Him (Gerald McDermott).

Some Christians misunderstand God's plan for His kingdom. They want to establish it their own way rather than waiting for God to do it His way. God's way of establishing the kingdom is primarily through the preaching of the cross. But that does not seem very effective to most people. They would prefer to use force, which is the kind of thinking that leads to bloody crusades. Or they would rather entertain people into the kingdom, which is the kind of thinking that leads to man-centered worship.

NOTES : Stovies, the popular name for Stoved Potatoes from the French
.touf.e - to stew in a closed vessel, is a beloved Scottish dish eaten by
all classes. Floury potatoes are best, especially new. The dish is markedly
better if sea-water is used. Like all "classic' Scots dishes method and
ingredients vary. Serve alone or with cold meats.
