We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

We are today accepted in the Beloved, today absolved from sin, today acquitted at the bar of God… We are now pardoned; even now are our sins put away; even now we stand in the sight of God accepted, as though we had never been guilty. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.” There is not a sin in the Book of God, even now, against one of His people. Who dares to lay anything to their charge? There is neither speck, nor spot, nor wrinkle, nor any such thing remaining upon any one believer in the matter of justification in the sight of the Judge of all the earth.
C.H. Spurgeon

Unbeknownst to the people of Moses’ day (it was a ‘mystery’), marriage was designed by God from the beginning to be a picture or parable of the relationship between Christ and the church. Back when God was planning what marriage would be like, He planned it for this great purpose: it would give a beautiful earthly picture of the relationship that would someday come about between Christ and His church. This was not known to people for many generations, and that is why Paul can call it a ‘mystery.’ But now in the New Testament age Paul reveals this mystery, and it is amazing. This means that when Paul wanted to tell the Ephesians about marriage, he did not just hunt around for a helpful analogy and suddenly think that “Christ and the church” might be a good teaching illustration. No, it was much more fundamental than that: Paul saw that when God designed the original marriage, He already had Christ and the church in mind. This is one of God’s great purposes in marriage: to picture the relationship between Christ and His redeemed people forever! CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Dairy, Grains, Eggs Tamara4 1 servings

INGREDIENTS

1 750 milliliter full cream milk
250 ml Coconut cream
1 Vanilla bean; split
8 Egg yolks
100 g Sugar
50 g Desiccated coconut; toasted
60 ml Coconut liqueur such as 'Malibu'

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium, heavy saucepan, place the milk, coconut cream and vanilla bean
and bring to the boil. Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks and sugar together
until thick and pale. Whisk the milk mixture into the yolks and continue
until combined.
Return to the saucepan and slowly reheat, stirring constantly, until the
custard is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Do not allow the
mixture to boil. Add the coconut and 'Malibu' and stir gently. Pour into an
ice-cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturers instructions.
Alternatively, pour into a metal container such as a deep cake tin, and
freeze, stirring every 15 minutes, for an hour, then once more half an hour
later. This will break up the sugar crystals and ensure a smooth ice-cream.
