We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The “carnal Christian” teaching appeals to those who are supposed to be justified, as though a new heart and life are optional. Sanctification is spoken of as though it can be subsequent to the forgiveness of sins and so people are led to believe that they are justified even though they are not being sanctified! The truth is that we have no reason to believe that Christ’s blood covers our sins in the record of heaven if the Spirit has not changed our hearts on earth. These two great blessings are joined together in the one covenant. The working of the Spirit and the cleansing of Christ’s blood are inseparably joined in the application of God’s salvation.
Ernest Reisinger

Perhaps his total number of devoted followers at the end of His earthly ministry numbered little more than the five hundred brethren to whom Jesus appeared after the resurrection (I Cor. 15:6), and only about 120 tarried in Jerusalem to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:15). Though this number is not small considering that His active ministry extended only over a period of three years, yet if at this point one were to measure the effectiveness of his evangelism by the number of his converts, Jesus doubtless would not be considered among the most productive mass evangelists of the church.

30 g Parsley
30 g Pine kernels
15 g Walnuts
15 g Pistachio nuts; blanched and
; skinned
2 Cloves garlic; peeled and chopped
250 ml Olive oil
Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

PESTO SAUCE
Roll out the puff pastry to 1/2cm thick and cut into a 15cm ring disc. Rest
for 15 minutes in a cold place.
Cut out the stalk from the tomato and slice thinly. Brush the puff pastry
disc with the egg white and arrange the tomato slices overlapping on top.
Season generously with salt and pepper and oregano. Bake in the oven at
220C. After 10 minutes of the baking time drizzle pesto on top. Bake for a
further 5 minutes, remove from the oven and brush lightly with the truffle
oil.
Mix olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Add a
tablespoon of this vinaigrette dressing to the rocket with a little lemon
juice and pepper. Mix well.
Place the tart on a plate. Top with the rocket and garnish with the
Parmesan cheese shavings. Drizzle a little of the balsamic dressing around
the tart. This tart absorbs a lot of seasoning.
Put the cheese, herbs, nuts and garlic in a food processor. Add half the
oil and process until the ingredients are finely chopped. With the motor
running, gradually add the remaining oil through the feed tube. Season to
taste with salt and pepper and process again briefly.
