We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

I am not here singling out those who have a so-called “weight problem.” Those of us who can eat what we please without gaining weight may be more guilty of gluttony and indulging the appetites of the body than the person who struggles –often with failure – to control his appetite for food. On the other hand, the overweight person should not excuse his failure. We should all examine ourselves as to whether we eat and drink to the glory of God, recognizing that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit.
Jerry Bridges

Probably in our own, modern substitutes for (immediate baptism upon profession) – raising hands, coming forward, etc. – are the result of a felt need to do something for those who believe. It seems certain that those who believed were distinguished from those who did not. There is no evidence that the New Testament evangelistic preachers asked them to come forward, but there is every indication that they did invite those who believed to be baptized (Ac. 2:38). And it seems that this was the way in which new converts professed their faith in Christ and came under the care and discipline of the church.

chips at the beep or appropriate time for your machine. CYCLE: sweet,
white; no timer SETTING: light
NOTES : The high amount of gluten is necessary in this moist, tropical
bread. It should rise to medium height with the gluten because of
the high amount of sugar. As with any bread which uses a fruit for
all or part of the liquid, watch the dough carefully. If you elect
to use a medium-sized banana and not measure it precisely, take
care to watch the dough. Add flour or water as necessary, one TBS
at a time. Use very ripe bananas. The banana chips should be
crushed. Pineapple extract may be used in place of the coconut
extract if desired.
