The reason people do not come to Christ is not because they lack a will, or a mind, or feelings, or even lack opportunity and occasion. Their not coming to Christ is due to their moral and spiritual refusal to do so, a refusal in which they willingly and freely delight. If they cannot come it is not because God will not let them. It is because it is their nature not to want to come. In sum, their not coming is not because of a physical defect but because of a moral refusal.

And all it costs us is the central and first affirmation of our own faith: Jesus is Lord. All we have to give up to win peace with our neighbors is the proclamation of the Gospel.

    • Wild Mushroom And Bell Pepper Saute

    INGREDIENTS

    1/4 c Butter; (1/2 stick)
    2 sm Red bell peppers; cut into bite-size
    ; triangles
    2 sm Orange bell peppers; cut into bite-size
    ; triangles
    8 oz Oyster mushrooms; (cut large mushrooms
    ; into thirds)
    3 tb Fresh tarragon leaves or 2 teaspoons; crumbled
    ; dried
    3 oz Soft fresh pepper-coated goat cheese; crumbled

    INSTRUCTIONS

    Melt butter in heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add bell peppers and
saute until tender, about 8 minutes. Stir in mushrooms. Season to taste
with salt and pepper. Saute until mushrooms are golden brown, about 5
minutes. Mix in tarragon; cook 1 minute. Sprinkle with goat cheese and
serve.
Serves 6.
