I believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, but I do not believe in the inerrancy of my interpretation of Scripture. Therefore, I am willing to stand corrected about my convictions if those corrections are shown to be a more accurate interpretation of the revelation of God in the Bible.

If there were such a thing as a seeker, what would he be seeking? The church growth movement seems to believe he would be seeking more of the same. In a world consumed with lighthearted entertainment, we offer up less professional, less entertaining lighthearted entertainment? Why, I keep wondering, would a “seeker” get up on a Sunday morning, and travel to some giant box to hear a third rate rock band preceding a third rate comic giving a third rate “message” that leaves him in the same state that he arrived in?

Apple And Summer Fruit Crumble

INGREDIENTS

3 Cooking apples
1 Bag frozen mixed fruit
1 t Nutmeg
1 oz Butter
6 oz Cereal/oatmeal
4 oz Demerara sugar
1 t Cinnamon
1/4 pt Double cream
1 oz Butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 200C.  Filling: roughly dice the cooking apples and
cook in a hot pan with  the fruit, nutmeg and butter. Place in an
oven-proof dish.  Crumble: mix the oatmeal or cereal with the sugar.
Pour in the cream  and add a touch of butter and the cinnamon. Place on
top of the fruit.  Cook for 8 minutes and serve hot or cold.
