INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 | c | All-purpose flour |
1/3 | c | Sugar |
1 | t | Baking powder |
1 | t | Cinnamon |
1/2 | t | Baking soda |
1/4 | t | Salt |
1/4 | t | Cloves |
1/4 | t | Nutmeg |
1 1/4 | c | Unsweetened Apple Sauce |
1/3 | c | Oil |
1 | t | Vanilla |
1/2 | c | Raisins |
1/2 | c | Chopped nuts |
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 350F. In 8 or 9-inch pan, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt cloves and nutmeg; blend well. Stir in apple sauce, oil and vanilla; mix well. Stir in raisins and nuts. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Notes: Pantry: Mott's Natural Apple Sauce. Let the kids lend a hand in measuring and mixing this quick-to-assemble cake.
