Since the conscience holds people to their highest perceived standard, believers need to set that standard to the highest level by submitting to all of God’s Word. As they continually fill their minds with the truths of Scripture, believers clarify God’s perfect law. Their consciences will then call them to live according to that law.

To say that God is jealous certainly does not mean that He is suspicious because of some insecurity in His heart. This kind of jealousy is the result of ignorance and mistrust. Such is surely not true of our all-knowing God. Nor does it mean He is wrongfully envious of the success of others. Jealousy that is sinful is most often the product of anxiety and bitterness and fear. But surely none of this could be true of our all-powerful Creator – God. Sinful jealousy is the sort that longs to possess and control what does not properly belong to oneself; it is demanding and cares little for the supposed object of its love.

Canadian Indian (sioux) Fish Chowder

INGREDIENTS

1 c Chopped onion
4 c Cubed potatoes
1 T Salt
1/8 T Pepper
5 c Raw fish, 3/4" cubes
1 qt Boiling water
2 c Milk
1 c Half & half cream
Parsley or chives

INSTRUCTIONS

Add potatoes, onions, salat and pepper to water.  Cook about 10 min,
until veg are soft, but not completely cooked.  Add fish and cook 10
min. Add milk and light cream, stir and heat 15 min longer.  DO NOT
