We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

One is faced with the fact that the only place one can prove absolutely that God is a God of love and grace is from Scripture. If one accepts the doctrine of God's love and grace as revealed in the Bible, how can that person question, then, that the same Bible teaches eternal punishment?
John Walvoord

Pleasure is the measure of our treasure. How do you measure or assess the value of something you cherish? How do you determine the worth of a prize? Is it not by the depth of pleasure you derive from it? Is it not by the intensity and quality of your delight in what it is? Is it not by how excited and enthralled and thrilled you are in the manifold display of its attributes, characteristics, and properties? In other words, your satisfaction in what the treasure is and what the treasure does for you is the standard or gauge by which its glory (worth and value) is revealed. Hence, your pleasure is the measure of the treasure. Or again, the treasure, which is God, is most glorified in and by you when your pleasure in Him is maximal and optimal.

Eggs, Dairy January 199 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1/2 lb Frozen puff pastry, thawed
An egg wash made by beating
together 1
large egg and 1 teaspoon
water
1/3 c Sour cream or cr&#232me
fra&#238che
1 oz Black caviar
3 T Minced fresh chives

INSTRUCTIONS

On a floured surface roll out the puff pastry 1/8 inch thick and with
a 3-inch star-shaped cutter cut out 8 pastry stars. Transfer the stars
to a lightly greased baking sheet, brush the tops with the egg wash,
being careful not to let the wash drip down the sides, and bake the
stars in the middle of a preheated 400F. oven 12 to 15 minutes, or
until they are puffed and golden. Transfer the stars to a rack and let
them cool completely. With a sharp small knife carefully split the
stars in half horizontally to form a total of 16 stars, leaving the
bottoms cut sides up and the tops cut sides down. Just before serving,
spoon about 1 teaspoon of the sour cream onto each star, divide the
caviar among the stars, and sprinkle the hors d'oeuvres with the
chives. Makes 16 hors d'oeuvres. Gourmet January 1993 Converted by
