We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Worship should lead to greater understanding of theological truth. If we contrast the theological depth of the prose hymn in Colossians 1:15-20 with examples from modern praise choruses, we can see more clearly how trivial and insubstantial some of what we sing in our worship is.
Eugene Roehlkepartian

We must be saints before we die, if we are to be saints afterwards in glory. The favorite idea of many, that dying men need nothing except absolution and forgiveness of sins to fit them for their great change, is a profound delusion. We need the work of the Holy Spirit as well as the work of Christ; we need renewal of the heart as well as the atoning blood; we need to be sanctified as well as to be justified.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Meats Dutch Chicken, Mc-recipe, Poultry, Spices 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 T Oil
1 Fryer chicken, skinned and
quartered
1 c Thinly sliced onions
2 T Ground coriander
2 t Ground cardamom
1 t Ground black pepper
1/4 c Blanched almonds, sliced
1 1/2 c Plain lowfat yogurt OR
nonfat yogurt
Kosher salt
1/4 c Sliced toasted almonds, for
garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Heat 1 TB of the oil in a nonstick saute
pan over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook, turning often,
for 5 minutes until the chicken turns opaque. Remove and place the
chicken pieces in an ovenproof casserole dish or Dutch oven. Add the
remaining old and onions to the saute pan. Cook until onions are
wilted, about 3 minutes. Add the cardamom, coriander, black pepper and
blanced almonds. Cook until the nuts are pale gold, about 2 minutes.
Transfer the onion/spice mixture to a food processor or blender. Add
the yogurt and puree until smooth. If you use unblanched almonds, you
don't need to get perfectly smooth sauce. Season the sauce with
salt/pepper as needed and pour over the chicken pieces. Bake in the
middle of the oven for 50 minutes, or until the chicken is tender.
Garnish with toasted almonds and serve with the sauce. SOURCE
