God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

[One] objection to the study of theology is that it deceives Christians from simple faith in the Bible. The underlying premise of this objection is that believing is good and knowing is bad. But in fact the Bible lauds both believing and knowing (Rev. 2:23; Matt. 22:37). God has gone to the trouble of revealing information about Himself in creation and His Word. Is it not the height of irreverence to say we should ignore this information? Christianity is about truth and one important way to relate to truth is to know it (Paul Thorsell).

Paul would not surrender his singleness, nor even allow it to be despised. It had its unique advantages of freedom for Christ, and he wants others to join him in it. Singleness was not curse; it was an opportunity. The biblical implication is that sexual intimacy is not an ultimate need for a full and well-spent life. Jesus Christ never experienced it. And when our culture says you can have it all, married or single, it not only contradicts the teaching of Jesus (Matthew 15:19) but makes Him out to be a fool for choosing chastity and claiming to give fullness - mark the word, FULLNESS of joy - to all who trust Him: “That My joy might be in you and your joy might be FULL' (John 15:11).

INGREDIENTS

1 c White Wave soy yogurt
1 c Applesauce, unsweetened
2 To 3 c. turbinado sugar
2 t Vanilla
1 c Rolled oats, whole
2 c Rolled oats, process in food
Processor to coarse flour), Processor to coarse flour
1 c Unbleached flour
1 1/2 T Baking powder
1 1/2 T Baking soda
1 t Salt
2 T Ener-g egg replacer

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine mixtures. The baking soda should react somewhat, making the
mass fluffy and easy to stir. Add more flour until a cookie dough
texture is reached (I had to use ~ 2.75 c. total). Add chips or fruit
or whatever. Shape into balls and bake at 375 until browned. They do
brown, they don't melt around the edges in that weird way that bad
cookies do, and were considered entirely successful. Source: Inspired

way too sweet, I made my own reduced-fat cookies last night. Posted
