We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

How do we distinguish between satanic accusation and divine conviction? Among other things, the former comes in the shape of condemnation that breeds feelings of hopelessness. We are told that our sin has put us beyond the hope of grace and the power of forgiveness. Satan’s accusations are devoid of any reference to the sufficiency of the cross. Divine conviction for sin, on the other hand, comes with a reminder of the sufficiency and finality of Christ’s shed blood, together with a promise of hope and the joy of forgiveness.

Here are 10 specific ways you can pray today for members of our persecuted family: 1. Pray they will sense God’s presence (Heb. 13:5). 2. Pray they will know we are praying for them (2 Tim. 1:3). 3. Pray they will experience God’s comfort (2 Thes. 2:16-17). 4. Pray they will see God open doors for evangelism (Col. 4:3). 5. Pray they will boldly share the gospel (Acts 4:29). 6. Pray they will mature in their faith (Col. 1:28-29). 7. Pray they will be granted wisdom in covert ministry work (Acts 9:23-25). 8. Pray they will remain joyful amid suffering (Acts 5:41). 9. Pray they will be able to forgive and love their persecutors (Matt 5:44). 10. Pray they will be deeply rooted in God’s Word (2 Tim. 3:16-17) (Voice of the Martyrs).

INSTRUCTIONS

Yield: 1 11"X15" baking pan plus 2 filled rolls of dough baked and
sliced Dough: Mix all together to make a smooth dough. You can use the
food processor if you process it into 2 batches. Divide the dough into
5 parts. Wrap them in plastic and refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Filling:
Mix sugar and ground walnuts together. Roll out one piece of dough and
lay it in the ungreased pan (Baking paper may be better). Spread 1/2
cup of the jam on the dough. Spread 1/3 of the nut-sugar mixture.
Repeat with another piece of dough, covered with jam and nut-sugar
mixture. Roll out the third piece of dough and lay it over the
filling. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. The two remaining pieces of
dough get rolled out, spread with what's left of the jam and nuts,
rolled up like jelly rolls and baked for the same length of time. You
can also fill them with other things - like date-chocolate filling,
poppy-seed filling, etc. (I'm not giving the filling recipes since you
can buy these prepared from Vita in Israel.) After baking Frost with
chocolate frosting - I'm quoting Rina's frosting since I'm too tired
to type more. Topping Directions: Put chocolate, sugar and Brendy
(sic) in glass container cover and micro , stir every few seconds
,till chocolate melt. Out of the micro, Add butter, stir till butter
melts.Add the white egg , stir. It gives a shiny toping. Spread the
toping over cake, cool. Posted to JEWISH-FOOD digest V97 #310 by
