INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a 2-quart baking dish; stir well. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, and cloves in a bowl; cut in margarine with a pastry blender or 2 knives until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Combine milk and molasses, and add to the flour mixture, stirring just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead 5 or 6 times. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness, and cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter into 10 biscuits. Remove the fruit mixture from oven, and arrange biscuits on top of hot fruit mixture. Bake an additional 20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden. Combine 1 tablespoon marmalade and 2 teaspoons water in a bowl; brush over biscuits.
