We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

I tried to get my mind around the arguments from the so-called “pro-choice” position. Most of them could seem very defensible from the surface. Who am I to determine a woman’s “reproductive rights?” What’s wrong with removing meaningless tissue? Why not stop a pregnancy when you can spare a child the pain of entering this world disabled or subjected to a life of poverty? Why would any humane person willingly deny women access to “health care?” But when you dig just a little below the surface, you see how ridiculous these claims become. A baby with a face and heartbeat, sensitive to pain (early in the pregnancy) is not meaningless tissue. Taking a person’s life is not “health care.” It’s just the opposite. Personal reproductive rights are between a woman and God, but don’t ask me to fund it in any way with my tax dollars. For a moment leave out the Bible. Leave out what science says about DNA. Leave out a picture from an ultrasound. Can we please just get back to simple common sense?

The Spirit does not glorify Himself; He glorifies the Son… This is, to me, one of the most amazing and remarkable things about the biblical doctrine of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit seems to hide Himself and to conceal Himself. He is always, as it were, putting the focus on the Son, and that is why I believe, and I believe profoundly, that the best test of all as to whether we have received the Spirit is to ask ourselves, what do we think of, and what do we know about, the Son. Is the Son real to us? That is the work of the Spirit. He is glorified indirectly; He is always pointing us to the Son.

INSTRUCTIONS

Thoroughly wash hands before all stages of egg handling cooking,
cooling, dyeing and hiding. If eggs cannot be colored right away,
store them in their carton in the refrigerator until they can be
properly colored. Do Not Color, Hide or Eat Cracked Eggs Use water
warmer than the eggs when coloring the eggs. Store cooled, colored,
dry eggs in their cartons in the refrigerator until hiding, eating or
displaying. DO NOT eat eggs which have been out of refrigeration for
more than two hours. Carefully consider hiding places. Avoid areas
where eggs might come into contact with pets, wild animals, birds,
reptiles, insects or lawn chemicals. After eggs have been hidden and
found, keep them refrigerated. DO NOT eat cracked eggs. If you plan to
use colored eggs as decorations or center pieces where eggs will
remain out of refrigeration for many hours or even days, prepare extra
eggs for eating and discard the display eggs when they have served
their purpose. Posted to The Gourmet Connection Recipe Page Newsletter
