We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Job’s story demolishes the notion that we can avoid Satan’s attacks if we’re sufficiently strong, or skilled enough, or trained in how to wage war against Satan. No one was more spiritually fit than Job. Yet God allowed Satan to ravage him anyway – and there was nothing Job could do about it. Job finally prevailed in the face of Satan’s merciless assault, not because he found some secret way to beat the devil, not because he rebuked him or ordered him to desist, but because God was in control all along. He knew how much Job could bear. And He would not permit Satan to cross that boundary (1 Cor. 10:13). When Satan reached that limit God stopped him and his attacks ended.

Sexual lust is definitely a sin and the catalyst for masturbating. But is the actual act itself, apart from lusting in the mind a sin? I believe the answer to that is yes. Masturbation is an aberrant form of sexual intercourse which is to be enjoyed by a married couple only. There is nothing in the Bible which gives approbation to celibate sex [by oneself].

Orange-honey Marmalade

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Jam/jelly 1 1/2 cups

INGREDIENTS

2 lb Oranges, weigh w/skins on
3/4 c Honey
1 Navel orange, rind only

INSTRUCTIONS

The white rind (between the outer skin of an orange and the tough
shell around the pulp) contains bioflavonoids which good nutritionists
say have an important place in nutrition. Ordinarily you should eat as
much of this rind as you can leave on the orange. Unfortunately, it
cooks up very tough in a marmalade, and, if you leave patches of it on
the chunks of orange, you get tough white patches of it in the
marmalade. So, peel off as much as you can. We like to use a
combination of oranges for this: temples, navels, juice
oranges--whatever is available. But we prefer navels for their peel
which has a good texture and flavor. Peel the oranges, pit them, and
cut up into small chunks. Put them all in a large pot. Add the honey.
Shave the navel orange peel into fine slices and add. Stir and cook,
uncovered, over a simmering-low flame for about 40 minutes or until
thick. Yield: about 1 1/2 cups. Source: "The Good Goodies: Recipes
