We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

When the Lord Jesus Christ offered up Himself a sacrifice unto God the Father, and had our sins laid upon Him, He did give more perfect satisfaction unto Divine justice for our sins than if you, and I, and all of us had been damned in hell unto all eternity. For a creditor is more satisfied if his debt be paid him all down at once, than if it be paid by the week.
William Bridge

Love should be the golden thread that runs through all your actions in dealing with the child. Kindness, gentleness, tolerance, patience, sympathy, a willingness to enter into childish troubles, a readiness to take part in childish joys—these are the cords by which a child may be led most easily—these are the clues you must follow if you would find the way to his heart.

INGREDIENTS

5 lb Firm green papaya
1/4 c Coarse salt
4 Carrots, peeled julienned
2 Sweet white onions

5 Long green or red chile
peppers medium-hot
seeded julienned
Extra chile peppers, for

6 c Rice vinegar
1/2 c Granulated sugar
1 1/2 T Coarse salt
2 T Crushed black peppercorns
3 T Peeled julienned ginger
10 Garlic cloves, thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

Peel the papaya, cut in half and remove the seeds with a wooden spoon.
Using a mandoline, julienne the papaya. In a large bowl, combine the
papaya and the salt, and let sit for about 30 minutes. Rinse well,
squeezing out as much liquid as possible. Transfer to a large bowl and
add the julienned carrots, onions, and peppers. Meanwhile, combine the
vinegar, sugar, salt, crushed peppercorns, ginger, and garlic in a
large saucepan. Place over high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat
and simmer about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Pour
cooled brine over the julienned vegetables and toss to combine. Fill
jars with vegetables and brine, making sure there is enough brine in
each jar to cover the pickled vegetables. Decorate sides of jar with
additional peppers if desired. For best flavor, refrigerate for 1 week
before eating. This will keep in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 weeks.
