We often hear the 'Savior' characteristics of God stressed – His love, mercy, goodness and so on – but the matter of His lordship is absent. The distortion is particularly clear in evangelism. In modern practice the call to repentance is usually called an 'invitation,' which one can obviously accept or refuse. It is offered politely. Seldom do we hear presented God's sovereign demand to repent or His demand for total submission to the authority of His appointed king, Christ Jesus.

There are only two ways that you can believe you can come to God; either on the merits of Christ or on your own merits. It's either by grace and grace alone or it's by works or some mixture of grace and works. It's only two things. There's only two kinds of religion in the world. The religion of divine accomplishment, the religion of human achievement, Christianity, the true gospel is the religion of divine accomplishment: God does it all, you simply believe. INGREDIENTS

1/3 c Pitted prunes
1 t Sugar
2 t Light corn syrup
2 T Water

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine prunes, 1 sugar, and corn syrup in a food processor; process 5
seconds.  With processor on, slowly add water through food chute;
process until  mixture is smooth, scraping sides of bowl frequently.
