We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

In the film Chariots of Fire there is a memorable scene involving Eric Liddell and his sister, Jenny. She is chiding him for what she regards as his divided loyalty between his athletics and his commitment to Christ. She reminds him that God made him for Himself. He replies: “Aye, Jenny, I know, but He also made me fast, and when I run, I feel His pleasure.” For us, this may not be athletics. It may be accounting or selling or teaching or nursing or mothering. In the latter case, this would allow a mother to declare with conviction: “And when I make the lunches, I feel His pleasure.”
Alistair Begg

I’m baffled continually at how easily Christian people treat as moral law those things that God has neither forbidden nor required. Some feel an irresistible urge to speak loudly whenever the Bible is silent. They find the ethical stipulations of Scripture inadequate for living the Christian life and feel compelled to supplement the Word of God with countless little do’s and dont’s that they are persuaded are essential to winning God’s favor and blessing.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Vegetables, Dairy Vegetarian 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 Green Giant Patties, thawed
1 c Ketchup
3 T Vegetarian Worcestershire
1 c Grated Colby/Jack Cheese
1 Mixed vegetables, mashed
soft
3/4 c Seasoned bread crumbs
2 t Ground black pepper
1 Puff pastry, thawed

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix the patties with all the ingredients (except the pastry.)
Beware... you may have to use your hands! Roll out the thawed pastry
and cut into (roughly) 5x5 inch squares. Shape the meatloaf mixture
with your hands into squares smaller than the puff pastry and center
on top of a pastry square. Fold up the edges of the pastry until it
covers the loaf entirely, or leave the top open and make a lattice as
we did, pinching the edges together as you would a pie. (See above.)
Place the loaves into the fridge or freezer for ten-twenty minutes to
firm up the dough. Bake in a preheated, 400 degree oven for 20-30
minute or until pastry is golden brown and knife comes out clean when
inserted into center of meatloaf. Serve with brown gravy. Posted to
