We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

True disciples do not have a neutral reaction toward Jesus. True disciples walk an almost paradoxical life of wanted to be around Him more than anyone or anything else, but also experiencing a fear that intensifies the more we are in His presence. It’s love and it’s respect. It’s intimacy and it’s reverence. It’s loyal friend and it’s holy God. Like Peter in Luke 5:8, both clinging to His feet and asking Him to leave.
Randy Smith

Paul would not surrender his singleness, nor even allow it to be despised. It had its unique advantages of freedom for Christ, and he wants others to join him in it. Singleness was not curse; it was an opportunity. The biblical implication is that sexual intimacy is not an ultimate need for a full and well-spent life. Jesus Christ never experienced it. And when our culture says you can have it all, married or single, it not only contradicts the teaching of Jesus (Matthew 15:19) but makes Him out to be a fool for choosing chastity and claiming to give fullness - mark the word, FULLNESS of joy - to all who trust Him: “That My joy might be in you and your joy might be FULL' (John 15:11).

INSTRUCTIONS

from my Mom who doesn't keep kosher (I'm not sure about the pudding
mix) Mix the cake ingredients together and bake in a prepared bundt
pan for 1 hour at 325 F. Boil the water, butter and sugar together
for 5 minutes. Add the rum and drizzle this over the HOT rum cake
until it is all absorved. It helps to punch holes in the cake with a
fork--gently now. Let this cool before serving. Posted to JEWISH-FOOD
