Any sensationalism inevitably is frustrated by the law of diminishing returns. People are never satisfied. They always want one more sign, one more miracle, one more show. To have maintained His influence over the people by the use of miracles, Jesus would have had to produce greater and greater sensations. Because the natural, carnal heart can never be satisfied, this year’s miracle would have become next year’s bore. His followers would only have been lovers of sensation, not lovers of God.

God decreed from eternity past that you would be like Christ (Rom. 8:29-30); He put His Holy Spirit in you to make sure that it would happen (Phil. 2:12-13); Christ prayed for you to be sanctified, and His prayers are always answered (Jn. 17:17); He even promises you that He will lovingly discipline you in order to return you to holiness whenever you stray (Heb. 12:5-10). How could we ever doubt that God means what He says, “Without holiness no one will see the Lord” (Heb 12:14)?

Thick And Spicy Spaghetti Sauce Pt 1

INGREDIENTS

2 Onions, chopped
2 Green peppers, chop
1 c Chopped celery
3 Cl Garlic, minced
2 T Olive oil
2 Pounds ground beef
1 Fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 6-oz cans tomato paste
1 16-oz can whole tomatoes
Undrained & chopped
3 8-oz cans tomato sauce
2 T Worcestershire sauce
2 t Chili powder
2 t Dill weed
2 t Whole oregano

INSTRUCTIONS

Brown ground beef with onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in hot
oil in large dutch oven.  Cook until meat is browned, stirring to
crumble; drain well, and stir in remaining ingredients. Cover, bring
to boil, and reduce heat to simmer for an additional 2 or 3 hours,
stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaves and serve over pasta of
choice. Sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese and grated
Parmesan cheese if desired. (Please note that this recipe is  continued
