We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Spiritually segregating people as those less worthy of God’s acceptance is still a problem today. And while racial unity is still not where it needs to be, we still segregate people based upon other intangibles (such as wealth, education, attractiveness and convictions) that we might consider impure. We still have a tendency to look down upon others different from us and believe they are less deserving of God’s grace than we are.

The Bible teaches clearly that the evidence of God’s work in a life is the inevitable fruit of transformed behavior (1 John 3:10). Faith that does not result in righteous living is dead and cannot save (James 2:14-17). Professing Christians utterly lacking the fruit of true righteousness will find no biblical basis for assurance they are saved (1 John 2:4). Real salvation is not only justification. It cannot be isolated from regeneration, sanctification, and ultimately glorification. Salvation is an ongoing process as much as it is a past event. It is the work of God through which we are “conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29, cf. Romans 13:11). Genuine assurance comes from seeing the Holy Spirit’s transforming work in one’s life, not from clinging to the memory of some experience.

Vegetables Chinese Chinese6 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 c Warm water
1 Vegetable Bullion cube, OR
1 T Miso paste
2 T Light soy sauce
1/4 t Chineese 5-spice mix
1 T Corn starch
Couple of dashes of sesame
oil optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Dissolve the corn starch in a few tbs. of warm water, then mix all
ingredients together. Pour over the stir fry in the last minute or so,
stir until the cornstarch thickens. *light soy sauce has much less
salt than regular; some prefer the saltier flavor of standard soy. I
like to be able to get more of the soy flavor without getting
overwhelmed with salt. Recipe by: narad@nudibranch.asd.sgi.com (Chuck
