Only once in sacred Scripture is an attribute of God elevated to the third degree. Only once is a characteristic of God mentioned three times in succession. The Bible says that God is holy, holy, holy. Not that He is merely holy, or even holy, holy. He is holy, holy, holy. The Bible never says that God is love, love, love; or mercy, mercy, mercy; or wrath, wrath, wrath; or justice, justice, justice. It does say that he is holy, holy, holy, that the whole earth is full of His glory.

We have created on our understanding a big man and a small God: a strong and able man choosing his destiny and weak God who does not determine but simply waits on man. In fact, we have a very frustrated God. He wrings His hands waiting for capricious man to decide for Him. He begs a little – but not too much, for then He would overpower man’s will. He is sovereign, but sovereign over what? Certainly nothing to do with man’s will. The weather maybe. If salvation is determined by man's believing alone, then God is not sovereign, but man is.

Tuna-waldorf Salad Mold

INGREDIENTS

1		6 ounces lemon-flavored
		gelatin
2 1/2	c	Boiling water
1	c	Apple juice
1		6-1/2 ounces starkistÂ®
		tuna drained and flaked
1	c	Finely chopped unpeeled
		apple
1/3	c	Chopped pecans or walnuts
1/3	c	Finely chopped celery
1/3	c	Reduced-calorie mayonnaise
		or salad dressing
3	T	Low-fat milk

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large, shallow bowl dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in
apple juice until blended. Cover; chill mixture about 30 minutes, or
until the consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Fold in tuna, apple,
pecans and celery. Spray a 4- or 5-cup mold (or 5 individual 1-cup
molds) with aerosol shortening; pour in mixture. Cover; chill several
hours until set. For dressing, in a small bowl stir together
mayonnaise and milk; serve with salad.  Notes: Make 4 main-dish or 8
