We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The proper understanding of everything in life begins with God. No one will ever understand the necessity of conversion who does not know why God created us. He created us 'in His image' so that we would image forth his glory in the world. We were made to be prisms refracting the light of God's glory into all of life. Why God should want to give us a share in shining with His glory is a great mystery. Call it grace or mercy or love – it is an unspeakable wonder. Once we were not. Then we existed – for the glory of God!
John Piper

Explain the Trinity? We can't even begin. We can only accept it – a mystery, disclosed in Scripture. It should be no surprise that the triune Being of God baffles our finite minds. We should be surprised, rather, if we could understand the nature of our Creator. He would be a two-bit deity, not the fathomless Source of all reality.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Vegetables, Dairy Soups, Vegetables 6 Servings

INGREDIENTS

5 c Cucumbers
3 c Red onions
6 c Sour cream
2 T Salt
3 T Sugar
1/2 c Fresh dill weed- chopped
1/2 c Lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS

This is from Alice Brock at Alice's Restaurant. Yes, THAT one. Peel
and slice cucumbers as thin as you can. Peel and slice red onions
thin as you can. (It's easier if you cut the onion in half and slice
cut side down) Use a deep 1 gallon bowl or crock. Alternate layers of
cukes and onions with sprinkles of the salt and sugar between each
layer. This will draw out the juices that make it soup. Pile sour
cream on top. DO NOT STIR. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours or more.
To serve, add the fresh dill weed and lemon juice and stir it up. Add
more lemon juice or sugar to taste. Cool and refreshing, this is just
perfect when it is too hot to cook, and cucumbers are running wild.
